While at CVS, waiting to pick up a prescription, because I actually get out of my car and walk inside rather than be lazy and go through the drive-thru prescription drop-off, I came across Ava the talking elephant medicine dispenser.
The concept is that it's easier to get your baby/toddler to take medicine if you put it inside a dispenser that looks like an elephant, and it talks. What?
If I were the baby/toddler instead of being eager to suck down my medicine from an elephant's trunk, I think I would be a little freaked out on so many levels. One, the elephant talks. Two, call it medicine but basically you're encouraging your kid to eat boogers. You had better start thinking of your come back line and why it's ok to eat Ava the elephant's boogers and not their own.
It would be interesting to see if any of the babies/toddlers that were subjected to this torture device developed a fear of elephants.
