Every spring I try to get back on track in terms of cleaning, keeping my house green, gardening, etc. One of the books I've read recently is "Greening Your Home" by Clayton Bennett.
Bennett gives straightforward information on how to green your home. He also includes recipes for natural cleaners - most green books just mention this but don't give specifics; this perfect for someone who want to use natural cleaners and make their own vs buying them.
Greening Your Home includes something for everyone, even those of us who have been greening our homes for some time.
I learned about The Power Cost Monitor, TED (The Energy Detective), the Kill-A-Watt EZ Plug Power Meter, and the Watts Up Pro Portable Plug In Power Meter, all devices that are new to me.
Mention of the EEMs (Energy Efficient Mortgages) reminded me that I need to see if our house qualifies.
