Jan 24th - Jan 31st: Card Challenge

I'm always scrabbling for birthday cards and lately I've had to resort to (gasp) buying them.  

Your challenge this week is to create a birthday card. Your newly created birthday card must feature at least one dimensional element and use at least two of the following colors: black, green, teal, pink, orange, or brown. 

My example will be posted tomorrow.

Jan 10th - Jan 17th Weekly Challenge: Kicking It Old School

What do you do when you've run out of brown ink or if you don't have any? You go back to the old school way of aging your paper or embellishment.

Many of us are starting new diets, new exercise routines, basically embracing some sort of change. 

With that in mind, how about a little change in how or what we scrapbook? I rarely scrap photos of myself. Mostly because I'm the one taking the photos. This year, that's all changing. 

Your challenge this week is to

January Design Team Monthly Challenge

Excuse the bad photo upload - my scanning software is not stitching correctly.

January, the beginning of the year, a time for start anew, begin new habits, and break old habits, organize, clean, etc. 

In the spirit of getting organized and being tidy this month's challenge is to create a clean, uncluttered layout that uses the packaging material from your scrapbook supplies. 

In my layout, Cool Mom Club, I used the insert that came with a Heidi Swapp Clear Stamp as a an additional piece of patterned paper. 

Go through your supplies and see what you can use to create your layout. 

Upload your newly created layout to the January 2011 Design Team Monthly Challenge Gallery and post a link to your image in the forum by midnight PST on January 31st.

July 19 - July 25 Weekly Challenge

This week's challenge is to create a layout using distressing (my favorite technique!).  Your distressing can be inking, tearing, edge scraping, sanding etc!

July 5 - July 11 Weekly Challenge

The first weekly challenge this month is to create a layout using photos that do not contain people!  I used photos of my favorite big cat - the lynx - from our trip to Bear Country USA in South Dakota.

July Monthly Challenge

Let's be patriotic this month!

June 28 - July 4 Weekly Challenge

I can't believe how fast this month has flown by and this is my last challenge as guest designer.

For this week's challenge, I would like you to embellish a die cut or pre-made embellishment.

In this layout, the chipboard star border strip already came pre-stickled and jeweled so I embellished my die cut and embellishment to match. I die cut the title/chair with my Cricut and added Stickles. On the chipboard star on the top right corner, I outlined it with Stickles then added a star jewel.
