This month I’m going to explain to you how I created my layout “Little One” using the Crop Addict May 2011 Monthly Scrapbooking Kit and the Crop Addict May 2011 Monthly Scrapbooking Kit Option.
1. Gather your supplies: Crop Addict May 2011 Monthly Kit, Crop Addict May 2011 Monthly Kit Option, two 3.5”x5” photos (color) photos – one horizontal and one vertical -, twine, little beads, butterfly punch, border punch, stamping ink to ink some of the edges, journaling pen, trimmer, scissors, gluedots, stapler.
2. I used the yellow/white chequered patterned paper for my background (The Girls Paperie) and added two border strips on top AND on the bottom of this page (both The Girls Paperie).
3. Just below the middle of the page I adhered a 3”x12” strip of paper (The Girls Paperie) and below and above this strip I added a small border.
4. Add the two photos: the vertical one on the right side of the page (wind a bit of twine around this photo) and the horizontal one on the left side of this photo and slightly underneath. Slip one of the Maya Road journaling cards above and underneath the photos just left of the middle.
5. Cut out the title from your sheet of velvet sayings (MM) and adhere above the horizontal photo. Cut out another saying from this same sheet and adhere under the vertical photo.
6. Add the flowers and some punched butterflies. Staple the two little strips of paper in place and draw a striped line around the corners of your photos.
7. Cut six small strips of paper (0.25”x12”), wet them just a little and roll them around the end of pencil. Adhere 5 of them with gluedots below the horizontal photo and fill them with some beads. Adhere the sixth on the right hand side of the vertical photo.
8. Add some handwritten journaling.
