1. Gather your supplies: Crop Addict August 2010 Kit, Crop addict August 2010 Kit Option, 9 photos (one 5” x 3½”, five 2-2/5” x 2-2/5”, one 2½” diameter circle, one 2” diameter circle & one 1¼” diameter circle), a border punch, a ruler, a black slick writer, a white gel pen, circle cutting system and/or circle punches and various adhesives.
2. Use your dark forest green cardstock as your base.
3. Using your white gel pen and a ruler, draw a thin white border around the outer edges of your layout, leaving about a ¼” margin between it and the page edge.
4. Take your five 2-2/5” square photos and adhere them in horizontal filmstrip style across the layout, about 1¾” from the bottom of your layout.
5. Cut a 1½” wide, 12” long strip from the brown hounds-tooth Adorn It! patterned paper and border punch a decorative edge along one side of the strip. Adhere the strip directly below the strip of photos, decorative edge down.
6. Cut a 1” wide, 12” long strip from the striped Adorn It! patterned paper and adhere this strip directly above the strip of photos.
7. Remove the yellow polka dot border sticker from the sheet and adhere it above the strip of striped paper.
8. Cut a ¼” wide, 12” long strip from the dark blue cross hatch Adorn It! patterned paper and adhere it directly above the yellow polka dot border strip.
9. Mat your 5” x 3½” focal photo on a 5¼” x 3¾” piece of the aqua blue grid Adorn It! patterned paper and adhere it at an angle so it overlaps the border above the photo strip and is about 1 to 1½” from the left edge of your layout.
10. Adhere the “Weekend Getaway” dipstick embellishment at an angle so it overlaps the lower right corner of your focal photo.
11. Take your three circle-cut photos (cut these photos to the size circles specified in step #1 if you haven’t done so already) and mat them on patterned paper circles of a slightly larger size than the photos themselves. Use three different scraps of the Adorn It! patterned paper for the circle mats – the blue cross hatch, brown hounds-tooth and yellow were used in the example. Adhere these three matted circle photos in the upper right corner of your layout, slightly overlapping each other and one edge of your layout. Trim any excess hanging over your layout.
12. Apply a journaling spot sticker in the lower left corner of your layout, overlapping the hounds-tooth paper border. Use your slick writer to add your journaling.
13. Create an embellishment cluster, directly above the right end of your photo strip, using a Bella Blvd sticker, two Bella Blvd chipboard pieces and a Making Memories enameled charm.
14. Adhere the three Bella Blvd chipboard stars to your layout – one near your journaling spot and two near your circle photos. Outline each star with your white gel pen.
